We are concerned citizens that feel strongly against scammers and fraudsters that are targeting Canadians every day.
Why does Ottawa Cyber Safety exist?
We wanted to create a place to share resources and guidance to help prevent Canadians who might be targeted by scammers and fraudsters.
The best prevention tactic against scams is knowledge.
What do we get from this?
The goal of this site is to reduce the amount of successful scams, lowering the income for potential scammers.
If scams become less successful and profitable, there is less incentive to create new scams or recruit new scammers.
